COLLECTIONS/AR SPECIALIST
ABOUT THE COMPANY:
- CFS is working with a family-owned company to identify an Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist.
- The Collections / Accounts Receivable Specialist will work alongside two other staff members in the accounting department.
- Casual dress environment with a relaxed working atmosphere.
OVERVIEW OF THE COLLECTIONS/AR SPECIALIST ROLE:
- Contact customers via phone and email to follow up on overdue accounts and create payment plans
- Collections/AR Specialist opens new customer accounts
- Create postings and billings to accounts
- Process and enter payments, apply cash payments
- Collections/AR Specialist creates aging reports and balance sheets
- Respond to customer account inquiries, reconcile discrepancies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR COLLECTIONS/AR SPECIALIST ROLE:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Prior experience in Collections or Accounts Receivable will be highly valued
- Advanced Excel skills - pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organization
