Radio Roasters Coffee is looking for an experienced Roaster/Production professional to join our team. As a company that is passionate about providing carefully sourced and craftfully roasted coffees, we are committed to broadcasting good coffee throughout the community. As a Roaster/Production team member, you will play a key role in the roasting of our high-quality coffees.

In this position, you will be responsible for roasting coffee beans, ensuring that each batch meets our standards. You will also assist in packaging and labeling the finished products for distribution. We are seeking dedicated individuals who are detail-oriented, have a strong work ethic, and share our love for coffee.

Responsibilities

Roast coffee beans to perfection, following established processes and guidelines.

Monitor the quality and consistency of roasted coffee beans throughout the production process.

Maintain a regular QA protocol via cuppings using SCA standards and regularly analyzing coffee roast development through spectrophotometer tool.

Conduct regular maintenance and cleaning of the roasting equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Collaborate with the production team to package and label roasted coffee for retail and wholesale orders.

Maintain accurate records of batch sizes, roast profiles, and inventory levels.

Maintain clean production area and roaster at all times.

Assist in the development and improvement of roasting profiles to enhance the quality coffees we source.

Ensure compliance with food safety and quality control standards during the production process.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have 2-5 years previous experience in coffee roasting and production.

Experience with a Diedrich IR-12 drum roaster preferred

Flexible with the ability to multitask in a highly demanding environment

Strong understanding of coffee beans and their characteristics.

Ability to give and receive constructive feedback in any given situation

Ability to operate and regularly maintain roasting equipment properly.

Excellent attention to detail and ability to adhere to quality control standards.

Good physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy loads of green coffee beans.

Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
