Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $28.00/HR + $1.50 shift premium Permanent Position with Benefits 2 nd Shift Hours: 3:30pm-12:00am. Our client, a Manufacturing company located in Avon, Ohio, is seeking a CNC Mill Programmer. The CNC Mill Programmer will Set-up and operate multi-axis numerical-control milling machine to mill surfaces of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces. Requirements: High School Diploma or GED Must have 1 to 2 years tool room/CNC programming experience. Experience with set-up and operating of CNC machines. Must be able to read blueprints. Must have experience with precision measuring instruments. Must have good math skills (including geometry and trigonometry) Must have good mechanical aptitude. Must have good analytical skills. Must have good organizational skills. Must be a team player. Must have good communication skills (written & verbal) Must be able to work 2nd Shift 3:30pm-12:00am Key Duties: Sets up and operates numerical control machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces, using knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machinability of materials, and shop math. Reads plans to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences. Checks size and grade of material before set-up on the machine Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and workpiece on machine. Selects and installs cutting tools in machine. Retrieves pre-programmed instructions from database. Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relation to workpiece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow. Cleans and maintains machine. Analyzes drawings and specifications to determine program input data, such as hole sizes, tool sizes, reference points, and direction of machine cutting paths, and calculates data, such as starting point coordinates (location) Manually enters coordinates of hole locations into program memory, when necessary Keys in additional instructions, such as tool size, machine feed and speed rates, and starting point coordinates, basing entries on specifications, calculations, and knowledge of machine capabilities and programming techniques. Creates and writes programs for all parts without CAD created programs and additional programs to finish part. Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
