As a company, we are a leading North American manufacturer with over 100 years of experience. We are hiring immediately for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist in a facility located in Chicopee.

You will be responsible for the control of machining and process materials by utilizing automatic machine tools, equipment, or systems. You will also interpret blueprints, enter design specifications, adjust cutting paths, perform quality checks, and routine machine maintenance including troubleshooting any issues that arise during production.

Job Details

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement efficient, cost-effective CNC programs for machines to produce high-quality parts based on provided specifications and drawings.
2. Perform regular inspections using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to strict tolerances and standards.
3. Modify and optimize existing CNC programs to enhance efficiency and productivity.
4. Collaborate closely with the production team to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the machining process.
5. Maintain thorough documentation of all CNC programs and revisions.
6. Conduct regular training sessions with machine operators to ensure proper understanding and execution of CNC programs.
7. Stay updated with latest CNC programming techniques and industry best practices to ensure continuous improvement in productivity and quality.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a CNC Programmer in a manufacturing environment.
2. Extensive knowledge of GD&T principles and application.
3. Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization.
6. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical drawings.
7. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and precision.
8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
