Job Description We are currently working with a manufacturer in your area that is looking to fill the role of CNC Programmer / Machine Shop Manager
- GRINDING EXPERIENCE.
- Experience with Ceramics.
- Strong knowledge of grinding hard materials (especially ceramics) using diamond tooling, and of the quality inspection processes of high-precision parts.
Responsibilities:
- Reads, interprets, and follows blueprints, sketches, and product/engineering specifications
- Set up and operate CNC and grinding equipment with minimal supervision on a grinding machine.
- Make adjustments as required to maintain print specifications
- Maintain proper documentation of data and participate in certified operator program.
- Inspect faces and diameters using micrometers, gages, and amps
- Perform in-process and last-piece inspection using micrometers, calipers, comparators, and gauges.
- Perform operator maintenance.
- Perform the required measurements to ensure product quality
- Notify your Leader of all nonconforming product
Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude a plus
- Working knowledge of Inspection Devices and Instruments
- Ability to translate prints along with an understanding of GD&T
- Blueprint reading skills
- Shop math skills
