Summary of Job Duties and Qualifications:

Primary Function and Scope:
As a CNC Programmer, your primary responsibility is to ensure the precision and quality of our machining processes. This entails setting up, pre-programming, and overseeing runs to guarantee optimal results. Success in this role requires diligence, a proficient understanding of CNC Lathe operation, and a steadfast commitment to both quality and safety standards.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $34.00/hr

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Study work orders, blueprints, and engineering plans to plan machining operations.
  • Manage stock inventory, anticipate needs, and place orders as required.
  • Program lathes, set tool registers, offsets, and conditional switches, and calculate machining requirements.
  • Set up lathes by installing and adjusting necessary components.
  • Ensure machine settings are correct by measuring positions and verifying workpieces against international standards.
  • Maintain specifications by observing machining operations, taking measurements, and troubleshooting any issues.
  • Adhere to safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot malfunctions.
  • Document production and quality metrics accurately.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements through ongoing education.
Position Requirements:

Education and/or Experience:
  • Vocational or Associates' Degree in a related field preferred, with 3 to 5 years of work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in MasterCam and/or Mazatrol CNC programming with multi-axis and sub-spindle experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform tooling touch-offs, make offsets on CNC controls, and conduct machine setups.
Language Skills:
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and technical procedures, as well as write reports.

  • Basic computer proficiency, including internet research and knowledge of Mastercam.
