What You ll Do
  • Use Mastercam to develop CNC programs for aircraft and space engine hardware, continuously improving upon existing processes and updating programs accordingly
  • Define and maintain manufacturing processes by studying customer blueprints and testing manufacturing methods, tooling, and equipment
  • Utilize Solidworks to lead the design of work-holding and tooling to support production schedules.
  • Responsible for the design and development of work holding, custom tooling, and gauging to meet customer inspection specifications
  • Support the production floor by troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions to keep machines running conforming parts
  • Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction opportunities in machining processes by leveraging new cutting and automation tools with external vendors
  • Manage tooling being returned from completed jobs (evaluate condition, sharpen as needed, and put away in vending solution, etc.)
  • Maintain tool set up sheets, record programming changes, and sustain appropriate engineering paperwork
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor's or Associates Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of CNC programming in a machine shop required
  • Strong proficiency in GD&T per ASME Y14.5M
  • Experience with Mastercam 2023/2024, certification a plus
  • Proficiency with Siemens and/or Fanuc controllers, DMG Mori machine tool experience is preferred
