Looking to hire a CNC Setup Class A to join our dynamic team. Successful candidates will ideally have worked in the steel industry (but not required) and have a solid level of experience with the specialized products and services produced by steel service centers. The CNC Setup Class A (Advanced) performs duties to setup and instruct assigned department employees in the setup and operation of a wide variety of computer numerical controlled work centers to progressively machine a wide variety of piece parts. This position works from complex blueprints, shop orders, tool sheets, sketches, computer printouts and instructions to perform the following duties.
- Troubleshoot quality issues with machined parts.
- Make modification to machine program.
- Train operators and setup personnel
- Direct departmental employees on work elements
- Maintain accurate tooling inventory.
- Set tooling and fixtures according to print or layouts.
- Set up work centers calling up program and modify as needed.
- Perform autonomous maintenance tasks.
- Assist operator in loading and operating machine.
- Prepare production records as required.
