Key Responsibilities:
- Programming and setting up CNC milling machines to perform various machining and cutting operations.
- Utilizing CAD/CAM software as well as hand coding.
- Taking corrective action and adjusting offsets as needed to ensure parts are within specification limits.
- Working under the general direction of the department supervisor with minimal supervision.
- Making changes to machine offsets and replacing worn or broken tooling.
- Assisting with program management and ensuring proper documentation on work orders.
- Visually inspecting parts for defects at specified intervals and conducting required quality checks.
- Reading and understanding written work instructions.
- Instructing others on machine setup and operation.
- Participating in team meetings and collaborating effectively with team members.
- Actively engaging in continuous improvement activities to help the team achieve goals related to quality, cost, delivery, safety, and morale.
- Learning and applying basic computer skills required to complete work orders.
- Experience reading blueprints and using precision gauging equipment, such as micrometers and calipers.
