Our client is looking for a responsible CNC Milling .This is a Direct placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will need to be a seasoned Mill/Turn professional as well as have a High School Diploma, Trade School or documented on the job training and a minimum of 3 years trade experience.
- Receives work instructions, operation sheets, setup sheets, 1st piece and in-process check sheets from department supervision indicating such information as part and operation number to be performed.
- Reads and interprets dimension drawings, sketches, tool set up sheets and manufacturing instructions in performing required machining operation and setups; Uses operational drawings to determine required dimensions, travels, and tolerance to be maintained
- Selects, inserts, and fastens necessary tooling such as turning, drilling, boring, facing, grooving tools, etc., to hex and turret tool posts required for various machining operations
- Sets up production machine units of various types and sizes by inserting necessary tooling, fixtures, etc., to machine by referring to setup sheets, manufacturing instruction sheets and/or from experience and supervisor guidance at time
- Loads and unloads pieces manually or with hoist; sets feeds and speeds on machine from manufacturing instruction sheets; applies coolant lubricant and changes worn or damaged tools as required
- Exercises care in handling of material before or after machining operation
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GED.
Trade school or documented on the job training.
Minimum of 3 years trade experience.
Preferred Qualifications:Small machine shop work experience.
Tool/fixture making experience.
Ability to use drafting and/or modeling software (AutoCAD SolidWorks)
Understanding of lean concepts.
Management experience.
Mechanical experience and willingness to cross-train and work within other disciplines.
