Nesco Resource is looking for an Experienced CNC Machinist for one of our long-time clients in the Automotive Supply industry located in Taylor, MI. This is a Direct Hire role. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.

Shift: 2nd shift runs 1pm-9pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional mandatory weekends
Pay: 25 to 35/hr, based on level of experience
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate has a strong background in operating CNC and manual machines with a focus on precision machining of custom tool and die components. This role plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality tools that meet the exact specifications of our standards.
Job Duties:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines efficiently to develop precision tool and die components in accordance to CAD files and drawings.
  • Set up and utilize manual machines including lathes, milling machines, grinders, hand tools, and other traditional machining tools to fabricate parts precisely
  • Collaborate with tooling team to understand component requirements to ensure accurate assembly and timely production requirements
  • Perform quality checks on machine components to ensure they meet the highest standards of precision
  • Perform preventative and routine maintenance machinery including: Tooling, CNC and manual machines efficiently to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machining processes, tooling, and equipment issues to maintain seamless production
  • Follow all guidelines and protocols while maintaining a clean, organized working area and machines


Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years' experience as a CNC machinist
  • Completion of CNC trade program, preferred
  • Proven track record of successful operation of CNC and manual machines
  • Proficient skills ins 2D/3D programming, set-up, and operation experience
  • Keen attention to detail with capability to produce high-precision components with tight tolerances
  • Willingness to obtain or actively holds Crane, lift-truck, and Hilo Certifications, required
  • Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of industrial, mechanical regulations and safety standards
