Position: CNC Machinist
Employment Type: Full Time, Year-Round
Experience: 2 years' experience required
Salary: $22 - $30/Hour, based on experience.

About the CNC Machinist Role: As a CNC Machinist at STC, you'll be at the forefront of our advanced machining operations. From operating CNC lathes and mills to utilizing grinding equipment, you'll play a crucial role in our production process. CNC Machinist Job Duties Include:

• Analyzing job orders, drawings, and blueprints to perform CNC calculations

• Writing and editing CNC computer programs, including program codes "M" and "G"

• Manually setting up machine work and parts

• Monitoring machine operations to meet product specifications

• Inspecting finished products using precision measuring tools

• Debugging and modifying programs and set-ups as needed

• Diagnosing machine malfunctions and performing mechanical adjustments

• Conducting daily maintenance per our PM schedule

• Providing leadership and training to entry and intermediate machinists

• Assisting with tooling and fixturing development

• Performing other machining operations as assigned

Who Makes a Good CNC Machinist?

• 2 years of experience setting up and operating CNC machines

• 2 years of experience using CAM, CAD, with Mastercam experience a plus

• Full understanding of machine language, including Fanuc and conversational programming

• Ability to work independently and under pressure while multitasking

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent reading comprehension and solid math skills
