We are currently seeking an experienced Machine Shop Operator .
First shift: M-R 7:30 am to 3:30 p.m.
$17.00 - $20.00/HR BOE
Steel-toe boots required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but other duties may be assigned as needed:
- Prepping parts after being punched(Cleaning, sanding(to remove scratches), counter
- sinking parts)
- Forming sheet metal parts after machine is set up
- Bending, sheering, and cutting the following materials: aluminum extrusion, aluminum and copper bar.
- Running CNC machine (minor button control), program will already be setup and
- ready to run. Minor deburring of holes after each part has been run.
- Basic housekeeping and maintenance duties (sweeping, trash removal, adding
- coolant/removing turnings from machines as needed)
- Placing and wrapping completed parts on pallets to be sent to vendors
- Assist with the receiving in of shipments from incoming containers and cross check
- Follows safety regulations in machine shop and on the plant floor.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibility
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply concepts of basis algebra and geometry
- Basic Hand Tools and hand tools
- Must have good communication skills
- Have mathematical skills
- Must have good judgment
- Must be able to work closely with a diverse group of people
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school degree and/or two year college or technical school, or 3-5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
PAY AND BENEFITS:
$17.00 - $20.00 to start (DOE)
