You'll be the friendly face that provide personalized care that respects their dignity and autonomy. It's like being a superhero for our seniors. Checking Vital Signs: You'll learn to keep an eye on important stuff like blood pressure, pulse, and other health signs. Don't worry; we'll teach you the ropes. Keeping an Eye Out: If you notice any changes in our residents' health or mood, you'll let the nursing team know pronto. Documentation: Accurate record-keeping is essential for tracking resident progress and ensuring a seamless transition of care between shifts. Personal Care Assistance: Provide assistance with residents' activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while ensuring their comfort, privacy, and dignity. What you bring: CNA Certification: You've got to have an up-to-date certified nursing assistant certification High School Diploma: We're looking for a high school grad or equivalent. CPR and BLS (if you've got it): Already got these life-saving certifications, that's fantastic. People Skills: Friendly, patient, and a good listener - you've got to be great with people. Working Conditions: The Certified Nursing Assistant will primarily work within the assisted living unit of the facility. This role involves a combination of hands-on work, exposure to diverse needs, and interaction with residents, families, and staff. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly stands, bends, talks, hears, walks, sits, climbs stairs, stoops, uses hands and fingers to touch, handle, and feel, reaches with hands and arms, lifts and/or moves items of up to 50 pounds. The team member occasionally lifts and transfers residents, using proper body mechanics, and physically assists residents transition to wheelchairs, beds, stretchers, stationary chairs, and vehicles as needed. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The team member must be able to smell the odor in order to ensure resident safety and quality care.
