Job Description

Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Overview:

We are seeking compassionate and reliable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to provide direct care and support to our patients and residents. The CNA will work under the supervision of licensed nurses and assist with activities of daily living, personal care, and basic medical tasks. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals in need of compassionate care and support.

Responsibilities:

Assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs):

Assist patients and residents with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and other personal hygiene tasks as needed.

Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Vital Signs Monitoring:

Take and record vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, and respiratory rate.

Report any abnormal findings or changes in patient condition to the supervising nurse.

Meal Assistance and Nutrition Support:

Assist patients with meal preparation, feeding, and hydration, ensuring dietary preferences and restrictions are accommodated.

Monitor food and fluid intake and report any concerns to the supervising nurse.

Medication Reminders and Assistance:

Remind patients to take prescribed medications and assist with medication administration under the direction of licensed nurses.

Document medication administration and report any discrepancies or concerns to the supervising nurse.

Patient Comfort and Safety:

Provide comfort measures such as repositioning, turning, and providing bedding or support devices to promote patient comfort and prevent pressure ulcers.

Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for patients and residents, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicate effectively with patients, residents, families, and members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and holistic care.

Report any changes in patient condition, concerns, or incidents to the supervising nurse in a timely manner.

Documentation and Charting:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of care provided, observations, and patient interactions in accordance with facility policies and procedures.

Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
