Salary Range: $90,000-$105,000 Annually

Summary of Position

The Clubhouse Director reports to the Executive Director and Chief of Staff and is a key member of the BCNY leadership team. The Clubhouse Director is responsible for leading a team of full-time program staff across different specialties (elementary, middle, high-school age program directors; art, education, physical education and aquatics program directors) and an administrative and maintenance staff, to create a comprehensive and responsive menu of programs and services for our members in a safe and secure environment. S/he is responsible for managing all aspects of the clubhouse operations: including plant and property, leasee, program quality and operations, regulatory compliance, employee and fiscal management. Additionally, the Clubhouse Director is expected to be an ambassador for their Clubhouse, by connecting to external and internal stakeholders from our donors and trustees, to parents, schools, community leaders and organizations, and alumni through outreach and relationship building.

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor s degree required, Master s degree strongly preferred, in Public Administration, Educational Leadership, Youth Development, Social Work, or Management with a minimum of five to seven years senior level experience in a non-profit organization; Experience successfully supervising staff; Experience working with boys and young men in an urban setting; a sound understanding of the social and cultural issues facing urban youth and families; Experience with budgets and financial oversight of programs and physical plant and property; Demonstrated experience working with a broad constituency such as parents, alumni and community groups and articulating leadership and management philosophy; Experience managing partnerships, community, school engagement, and facilities in a shared space capacity; Excellent supervision, management, and leadership skills, including knowledge of mentoring, evaluating, and inspiring staff.
