Responsibilities Peraton is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to augment the existing Foundations team located here in Laurel, MD. The Cloud Software Engineer will work with a massively parallel enterprise platform, built with Java on Free and Open Source Software products including Kubernetes, Hadoop and Accumulo, to enable execution of data-intensive analytics on a managed infrastructure. This position has on-call work. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is required
Five (5) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree.
Experience doing Linux administration on large Hadoop and Accumulo based clusters
Possess skills of Linux, Python/Bash, Configuration Management Software (Salt, Puppet or Ansible) and have some experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
