Advising on best practices addressing Department of Defense cybersecurity requirements and their integration with COTS deployments in various cloud-based PaaS, SaaS, and IaaS configurations. Supporting the product owner in managing communications with stakeholders, managing customer's expectations for deliverables, and implementing an effective project governance system. Delivering top notch technical services that meet or exceed vendor best practices, DoD guidelines, Air Force requirements, and industry standards. Promote team empowerment through team-building techniques, ensuring each team member is making a meaningful contribution and fully engaged in the project.Responsibilities Responsible for designing, building, and supporting a secure cloud platform and Linux-based instances based on industry standards, best practices, and guidelines Determine technical standards and specifications and lead the design, build and support of shared services cloud platform components Providing professional support services and/or the integration of their respective products Implement the products based on best practices. Review the current architectural landscape and make appropriate recommendations Must be able to compare various solutions and determine the one that best fits the need Design, develop, and maintain Linux-based instances and backend applications Deploy and maintain web application technologies and middleware solutions on the Linux platform Research new technologies and products for their applicability to business processes Provide Subject Matter Expertise and advisory services that can include tier 2 support for the platform Configuration and execution of vulnerability and web application scansPosition Requirements This position requires a minimum of eight (8) years of experience in System administration and development experience At least four (4) years of experience working with design and implementation of systems and applications at Amazon Web Services (AWS) Experience setting up administrator and service accounts and troubleshooting Creating/updating and maintaining system documentation, interacting with users, and evaluates vendor products, deep understanding of monitoring AWS instances and services Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform capabilities and best practices architectures, and engineering solutions within multiple Cloud accounts and services Experience working in AWS via the CLI and management console Knowledge and experience architecting and configuring Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs) Strong working knowledge of both the Microsoft Server and Linux Operating Systems Development and implementation of vulnerability remediation strategies Experience writing process requirements, technical design documents, and standard operating procedures Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams with diverse backgrounds Demonstrating strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Understanding of the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Well Architected Framework Proven technical knowledge of network, internet systems, databases, and operating systems including Linux, and Microsoft in AWS Working knowledge of programming languages, including Perl, Python, and shell scripting Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and related products Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general system management best practices This position requires an active DoD Security clearance with a minimal of a Tier 3 investigation. Possess a Secret Security Clearance and be eligible for a Top-Secret Security Clearance based on a Tier 5 investigation.
