Job Title: Cloud Architect/Senior Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH - Hybrid (3 days on site now / 2 days remote)

Type: W2 Contract

US Citizen preferred

Role Overview: As a Cloud Architect/Senior Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions in collaboration with agency cloud engineers. Your expertise will serve as a cornerstone in guiding technical decisions, ensuring adherence to best practices, and driving the overall cloud strategy. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud architecture, strong leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex technical landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture, Solutions, & Engineering:

Design and develop cloud solutions in collaboration with agency cloud engineers.

Act as a subject matter expert on cloud architecture and services for a particular cloud provider.

Lead and guide cloud architects and engineers in architecture and technical implementation.

Ensure organizational best practices are implemented across the entire cloud portfolio.

Uphold cloud security best practices and ensure the implementation of security guardrails and frameworks.

Support application rationalization, vendor interactions, and procurements for cloud services.

Cloud Strategy:

Develop and drive the end-to-end technical roadmap for existing and proposed cloud services.

Articulate the impact of cloud services on the broader organizational strategy.

Provide technical oversight and guidance for infrastructure as code templates to adhere to Enterprise Architecture standards.

Make recommendations on new procedures and overall approach in partnership with other cloud architects.

Own Azure components of the annual Cloud Strategic Plan.
