Senior Cloud Architect Core and Cloud Networks

Location: Remote - Any location, working in EST

Duration: 4 Month+ Contract

The Global Network Services is looking for a Senior Network Architect to focused on Core and Cloud Network Infrastructures. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecture and design within global landscape.

Qualifications

Must have 10+ years of proven experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale multivendor enterprise networks, project delivery with focus on performance optimization and scalability.

Expert level knowledge of IP Networking, Routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP), SDN (Cisco ACI, Arista Spine, NSX-T etc.), and micro-segmentation

Public Cloud network experience (AWS, Azure) is a must

Analyzing, gathering, and auditing large-scale and complex data sets to uncover new trends and patterns that influence architecture direction.

Extensive experience with planning, designing, and executing network hardware and software infrastructure.

Deep knowledge on network management and monitoring platforms

Recommend network improvements, including cost/benefit analysis, to meet changing business requirements.

Plan large-scale projects through vendor comparison and cost studies

CCIE or CCNP Routing and Switching certifications or equivalent are required.

Network Automation and infrastructure as code (Ansible, Python, etc.) a plus.

Sharp troubleshooting faculties, deductive reasoning, and careful attention to detail.

Independent and self-directed work ethic when participating in a collaborative environment.

Strong communication skills both verbal and written to develop technical documentation

Excellent communication skills; ability to perform under pressure and detail oriented

Dedicated commitment to service availability and quality user experience.

Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency

Responsibilities

Core network architecture and vision, ensure specific components are appropriately designed and leveraged.

Lead architect responsible for designing and developing scalable and highly available global core and cloud network architectures to meet the organizations business needs

Evaluate alternative technologies and architectures in relation to Consolidated Communications infrastructure needs

Manage complex activities simultaneously to short timescales

Develop scripts and processes to test, deploy and validate changes across all network infrastructure as code, leveraging Ansible and other approved corporate automation and orchestration platforms

Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions

Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget

Develop and maintain standards and designs for Core network architecture

Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required

Work closely with senior management, and network engineering and operations teams

Act as an escalation engineer for high severity network related production issues, work with engineers and various vendors to identify tactical and strategic solutions.
