We are hiring Cloud and Snowflake Admin Engineer for our client project. Initial 3 months should be in Chicago,IL and later on candidate has to work from Monmouth Junction NJ.   • Data Warehouse, or Data Science , or Data Governance
  • Snowflake Admin experience is must
  • oracle warehouse builder
  • ETL Experience (Matillion, Informatica Preferred)
  • Experience with Docker implementation.
  • Experience in programming languages like Python, Javascript, JSON, XML, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, .NET
  • Experience in Databases like Snowflake, PostgresSQL, MySQL, Oracle 11g, SQL Server
  • Hands on experince in API, REST web services
  • AWS Cloud , certification is a plus and need to have experience in AWS Services : EC2, S3, Glacier, IAM, Kinesis, Cloud Front, Cloud Watch, Code Pipeline, Code Build, Elastic Beanstalk, EFS, VPC, RDS, API Gateway, Lambda, DynamoDB, Cloud Trial, Code Deploy, Cloud Formation etc
  • Experince with Source Code Management like GIT, BitBucket, Code Commit

Job description:

  • Snowflake Admin's: They play a critical role in this project, managing and optimizing the Snowflake data warehouse.
  • Their tasks involve designing and configuring the Snowflake environment, user and security management, optimizing performance, managing costs, data migration, and so forth.
  • Should have Hands-on experience in Snowflake Administration. Should be able to analyze and resolve platform-related issues.
  • Should work on critical incidents and user service requests and be responsible for SLA adherence, tracking, and reporting.
  • Assist in configuration changes and upgrades.
  • Prompt Communications on Service interruptions, upgrades etc.
  • Assist application/migration teams with database activities.
  • Assists with impact analysis of all Prod/Non-Prod changes.
  • Responsible for User (on/off boarding), Access (grant/revoke) management.
  • Should be able perform backup(clone) and restore (time travel, Undrop) activities.
  • Create and Manage the virtual warehouses.
  • Should have knowledge in SnowSQL.
  • Should be able to identify performance bottlenecks, tune Query and Performance, Triage and resolve the same.
  • Should generate and monitor the cost/credit consumption reports and take the effective measures for cost optimization.
  • Experience in Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Testing and Support of Data Warehousing and Data Integration Solutions using ETL tools & technologies.
  • Design ETL integration solutions and produce all design phase deliverables including technical design documents, flowcharts, data transformations, mappings, routing etc. evaluating impacts to performance and scale to support policies and SLAs as required.
  • Must possess strong relational database design concepts and suggest architecture improvements, design and integration solutions.
  • Conduct analyses of alternatives for different technical solutions and be able to communicate the strengths and weaknesses of each ETL solutions.
  • Perform ETL failure recovery when needed. Daily notifications on ETL workflow status will be required to ensure no interruption in service.
  • Must be able to solve complex problems and ability to work on multiple projects/tasks simultaneously to meet project deadlines.
