Clinician - Cortland Family Support Program Job Details Level Experienced Job Location Cortland Offices - Cortland, NY Position Type Full Time Education Level Master's Degree Salary Range $68,000.00 - $70,000.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage Some Description $2,000 Sign on bonus Elmcrest has an opportunity for a Clinician in our Family Support Program in Cortland. Position Summary: The Clinician performs duties that involve clinical observation, assessment, treatment, recommendations, case management and programmatic support for the children and families in the Family Support Program. In addition to providing direct service to children and families, the Clinician plays an integral role in working in collaboration with Dept. of Social Services (DSS) staff, foster parents, Family Court, human services agencies, schools, medical, and other community members who may be involved in the case. Responsibilities include: + Perform clinical observations, assessments, recommendations and documentation. + Participate in the development and implementation of treatment strategies. + Provide case management and document activities and observations. + Provide transportation for children and families. + Provide individual, family and group therapy. + Provide therapeutic support during a child or family crisis; including At-Risk consultation and support if needed. + Collaborate with all individuals/agencies associated with children/families. + Participate in inter and intra agency meetings + Provide information to relevant participants in the case relating to treatment, casework, placement planning, etc. + Assist in providing training. + Testify in Family Court. + Assist with data collection/entry. + Qualifications Qualifications include: + Licensed in one of the mental health professions (Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy) + Maintain professional standing in the field. + Demonstrate high levels of written and verbal communication skills. + Manage the paperwork demands of the position within the time frames established. + Maintain the highest of ethical standards and conduct
