Our client is a leading non-profit social services provider is looking for an Clinician - IHRP (In home recovery program)

Type: Perm

Schedule: Full time: Monday-Friday 8a-4p/ 9a-5p/10a-6p (room for flexibility)

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Summary of Position:

• Provides effective and appropriate clinical intervention as the parent-child clinician for six clients and the individual/substance use clinician for six clients.

• Flexible work schedule requires ability to work evenings and rotate on a 24/7 on-call schedule.

• In addition, these dynamic individuals must possess a trauma-informed skillset to work with the target population for cross training.

Specific Responsibilities/Functions/Competencies:

• Undergoes cross-training to effectively act as parent-child and individual/substance use clinician.

• Utilizes the tools of Family Based Recovery (FBR)

• Performs comprehensive mental health assessment; Demonstrates ability to assess risk category, mental status, level of compliance and motivation, clients' needs and provide applicable interventions, targeting parental recovery and psychological well-being.

• Formulates service plan; Co-constructs treatment goals related to recovery, education, employment, healthy relationships, family communication, and/or legal issues with each individual client.

• Conducts developmental screenings for client's child.

• Delivers treatment to facilitate positive parent-child interactions and optimal child development

• Promotes reflective capacity utilizing an infant mental health approach.

• Addresses child safety issues including but not limited to safe, adequate sleep.

• Co-facilitates weekly parent-child therapy group (Social Club)

• Attends weekly parent-child outpatient group; one evening per week.

• Provides individual psychotherapy to address comorbid mental health issues.

• Conducts toxicology screens with clients at every encounter, observing the toxicology screen when client is of the same gender.

• Refers client to medication-assisted treatment (MAT), as appropriate.

• Collaborates with other systems to coordinate care to support the client and child, including with the MAT provider as needed.

• Works in close collaboration with DCP&P local office from the time of the referral until the client is discharged

• Frequently communicates with the assigned DCP&P caseworker via phone/encrypted email about client's progress and any concerns about the client's functioning

• Meets monthly with IHRP Team, DCP&P caseworker, supervisor, and DCP&P/IHRP liaison at local DCP&P office to review case progress

• Notifies the DCP&P caseworker when a client relapses

• Evening hours are required.

• Attends all required trainings.

• Submits all required data to supervisor and evaluator.

• Participates in technical assistance (TA) meetings and calls.

Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Counseling, Social Work, or related field

• Minimum of 1-2 years' experience working in a substance use related field and children preferred.

• Qualified to provide substance use disorder treatment in New Jersey as either a LAC, LSW or LPC, LCSW, LCADC, LMFT, or licensed psychologist

• Valid NJ driver license
