In this role you will be responsible for the administrative functions of the oncology research unit and will serve as the liaison for the site management and monitoring of clinical trials in Santa Monica. Responsible for completing the administrative and operational tasks necessary to conduct Site Initiation Visits and Interim Monitoring Visits with clinical trial sponsor representatives; you will also serve as the primary administrative support to the Research Nurse Manager and Clinical Research Operations Manager. This includes responsibility for the management and distribution of the research study staff assignment list and vital regulatory documents. You will also supervise the completion of the administrative documents (Research MD Orders/Nursing Worksheets) necessary to conduct research visits in the Santa Monica clinic as well as respond, as appropriate, to a heavy flow of incoming and outgoing communications. Work may be assigned by the Research Nurse Manager, Clinical Research Operations Manager, Investigator, or Senior Management. Assignments may change on an as-needed basis in order to ensure that studies and patient care needs are handled appropriately and in a timely manner. Salary range: $24.28-$48.04 Hourly Job Qualifications Press space or enter keys to toggle section visibility Required: Experience as an Administrative Assistant Ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Typing and computer skill and abilities including use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer, Adobe Acrobat, AV equipment and other standard office equipment. Demonstrated understanding of what constitutes confidential information (Protected Health Information) and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Analytical skills sufficient to work and problem-solve with minimal supervision. Demonstrated skill in prioritizing workflow to meet deadlines, often under pressure of conflicting demands, while maintaining accuracy and effectiveness of work. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills to effectively and diplomatically convey, obtain, compose, and disburse information to all levels of staff and customers. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interact with campus departments and the public Willingness to travel between UCLA Westwood and Santa Monica Clinic Preferred: Clinical research experience, with in-depth knowledge of clinical trials in oncology
