Summary: Develop, integrate, and support systems, applications, and interfaces. Work with and assist others on application of system integration principles to support business goals for lab workflow. Responsibilities: Achieve system integration through performance of assignments, correcting system, application and interface problems. Ensure application of integration quality standards across assigned projects. Create and maintain project plans. Integrate systems through analysis, design, code, test, documentation and implementation of applications and interfaces. Create and maintain technical specifications and test plans. Provide estimates and make recommendations. Customize, adapt, and verify software. Automate processes associated with production applications and environments and assist others. Support application-system production environments. Prepare reports for Technology Center evaluation of system integration quality indicators in assigned area. Support IT knowledge management through documenting, maintaining & improving system integration standards, processes and practices. Assist others. May guide and mentor Clinical Business Systems Specialist - Level 1. Contribute to performance improvement programs to enhance and sustain system, application, and interface reliability, availability, stability, and integrity in support of overall departmental performance improvement goals. Support and maintenance. Troubleshoot and correct problems. Perform root cause analysis. Assist others to resolve system, application and interface problems. Seek technical assistance, when necessary. Support team efforts. Assist with application of system integration techniques and strategies. Achieve system, application & interface reliability, availability, stability & integrity goals. Meet established milestones and schedules. Maintain and enhance professional and technical knowledge and expertise in relevant technologies and strategies through learning events such as attendance at formal training programs, industry seminars, and self-education. Partner with other departments to ensure delivery of applications aligned to the business and IT strategy as well as the support of applications. Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, shadowing, site visits, and workflow analysis. Manage projects end-to-end; ensure coverage of all facets of testing and a successful end-user experience. 24/7 support through investigation & analysis of problems using documentation, manuals, debugging tools & logic to resolve problems, prevent recurrence & ensure continuity. Remote calls for off-shift, weekends & holidays, as assigned.
