Clinical Supervisor

Summary:

Supervise the Counselors and/or Counselor Interns who provide treatment and case management services to patients in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and with BayMarks policies and procedures. Ensure timely documentation of patient services based on plan of care. Identify other physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs for assigned patients. Travel as necessary. Essential Job Function:
  • Ensure efficient and effective delivery of counseling services to all patients.
  • Monitors treatment and counseling of all patients.
  • Provides clinical supervision.
  • Assigns counselors caseloads, amends when necessary.
  • Screens potential patients and determines eligibility.
  • Facilitates intakes or assists with intake process.
  • Conducts quality assurance file reviews.
  • Completes and submits patient death reports, as needed.
  • Reviews and countersigns documentation for quality and accuracy for clinical team when applicable.
  • Ensures accurate and current clinical records are maintained in accordance with Federal and State Regulations.
  • Manages all counseling staff. Facilitates performance improvement discussions, documentation and follow up.
  • Assists in new hire training.
  • Participates in staff and multidisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Supports organizational and departmental philosophies, goals, and objectives and through behavioral modeling will motivate others to do so.
  • May be required to counsel a caseload of patients.
  • Participate in supervisor meetings, as requested.
  • Assist with monitoring employee attendance.
  • Provide guidance and support to counselors needing to obtain licensure and / or certification.
  • Oversee counselor related annual trainings and ensure trainings are completed.
  • Facilitate employee performance discussions and evaluations.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and interact with others.
  • Must be present during working hours at the office for in person meetings and access to a computer without violating company policy.
  • Communicate clinic, employee and patients concerns to employees and leadership.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Assist in program development activities.
  • Regular attendance is to be maintained.
  • Adherence to a code of conduct conducive with BayMark Services policy is expected.
  • Meet or exceed delivery of Company Service Standards in a consistent fashion.
  • Interact with all staff in a positive and motivational fashion supporting the Companys mission.
  • Conduct all business activities in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Monitor the performance of an applicants interaction with a patient and provide regular documented face-to-face or live consultation, guidance, and instructions with respect to the clinical skills and competencies of the counselors being supervised.
  • Focusing team on clinical growth initiatives.
  • Ongoing, direct clinical oversight for the purpose of training or teaching. Supervision may include, without being limited to, the review of case presentations, direct observation, individual and/or group supervision meetings, reviewing and signing off on clinical documentation, facilitating treatment team meetings, tracking counselor productivity, pulling and reviewing clinical reports, focusing on time management and clinical scheduling, other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Required: LPC/LCSW/LMFT
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience in the behavioral health/substance use field.
  • Must have previous experience working with chemically dependent individual.
  • Must demonstrate a position, non-judgmental, and accepting attitude toward our patient population.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
