Description The Clinical Sleep Educator reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Clinical Sleep Educator works in collaboration with the physicians in the provision of quality sleep education courses. This role assists the Practice Administrator in administrative functions and course development as needed. The Clinical Sleep Educator serves as a role model for all staff in all aspects of professional and leadership activities in support of the standards and guidelines related to sleep education. Responsibilities: Provides personalized, evidence based course content according to documented program designs for sleep courses. Administers, collects and reviews program evaluations. Utilizes information as a tool for self-improvement. Resolves concerns with client satisfaction and reports problems and solutions to Practice Administrator. Responsible for professional growth and development through continuing education, participation in applicable professional societies and maintains current knowledge of sleep education. Serves as a patient and family advocate and treats all families with respect and dignity; provides emotional support. Assists with special programs and projects as delegated by the Practice Administrator; participates in updating sleep education programs as needed. Demonstrates organization skills, effective communication with clients/families and efficient use of course time allotted.
