Covenant HealthCare US:MI:SAGINAW DAY SHIFT - 80 HOURS PER PAY FULL TIME BENEFITED Summary: The Clinical Quality Value Analysis Administrator demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and actions are at all times consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant HealthCare and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation. This individual will facilitate a Clinical Quality Value Analysis process, engaging all entities. Establish goals and objectives for individual teams, evaluate opportunities, communicate and implement changes, educate team members and staff and monitor outcomes. Maintain a process for the continual identification and prioritization of cost containment opportunities and the documentation of cost savings and other demonstrable results. Responsibilities: Contributes to organization success targets for net operating margin. Utilizes the hospital financial/MMIS systems to evaluate and prioritize standardization and utilization opportunities. Monitors and reports institutional budget adjustments as a result of cost savings. Fosters an environment that focuses on decreasing costs. Build customers understanding of roles in the CQVA arena and ensure a clear process for decision making. Expert guidance to enrich customers ability to achieve greater value of care through reduced product variation, improved outcomes and expense reduction. Coordinate efforts with the Purchasing Manager/Contract Administrators to optimize supply and equipment spend. Analyze cost savings ideas and standardization opportunities presented by team members and guide implementation. Research savings beyond pricing improvements, with focus on utilization and waste reduction. Research best demonstrated practices and investigate new or alternative products/services based on observations, product issues, costs, requests from user groups, suppliers, and other resources. Collaborate with Risk Management and Infection Prevention to assure all safety, regulatory and epidemiological issues are addressed prior to product selection. Develop and implement a plan to monitor outcomes as related to product standardization. Maintain proactive communication with the physician group. Coordinate educational activities related to product utilization initiatives with departmental staff and physicians. Interact with Covenant affiliates as it pertains to the CQVA process. Engage support from administrative leadership, physicians and staff. Review and analyze follow-up reports to determine ongoing effectiveness of standardization and utilization efforts. Effectively manage and provide value analysis information by maintaining a detailed cost saving tracking tool. Works collaboratively as a clinical liaison to the Supply Chain Management team. Other information: EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE Bachelors Degree in nursing , Business Administration, or Health Science Administration KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Software programs, with an emphasis on a mainframe inventory system. Prudent purchasing practices. Demonstrated sound judgment in difficult/sensitive situations. Interpersonal skills needed to communicate and interact with individuals and groups at all levels and able to present ideas and concepts in a clear and understandable manner. Demonstrated analytical experience with strong computer, project management, leadership, problem solving and team building skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize tasks appropriately. WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to maintain punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Constant lifting up to 10 lbs. Constant sitting, talking, hearing, and tasting/smelling. Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs. Frequent reaching, handling, feeling, near vision, midrange vision, far vision, depth perception, visual accommodation, color vision and field of vision. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
