Part Time 22 Bramhall St Behavioral Health Day Shift For a limited time MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for this position. Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 3 months separation from employment. 20 Hours/week, Day shift Maine Licensed Clinical Psychologist, PsyD, PhD is required Maine Medical Center's special care unit for treating burns is recruiting for a licensed clinical psychologist to integrate into their multidisciplinary team. Come work alongside of burn specialists, MDs, RNs, Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, and others to provide integrated care to patients suffering from a variety of burns and wounds. The provider team follows the patient from inpatient to outpatient as they work to reintegrate into their community following these traumatic events. This position therefore is located both inpatient at Maine Medical Center as well as outpatient at the Acute Care Surgery practice located across the street from the hospital. This is a 20-hour position with benefits included. The role of the burn psychologist is to focus on psychological rehabilitation, providing targeted interventions to manage pain through non-pharmacological interventions, improve sleep, protect natural defenses and coping strategies that can assist a patient in the painful, often times over stimulating and under stimulating process of burn care. Providing consultations to the providers and extended care team to assist in care planning and approaches to respond to the psychological distress is part of the role, as is linking and referring patients to additional services in the community to address co-occurring mental health. Working in collaboration with additional providers such as psychiatry and primary care is essential as patients transition through stages of care. Experience working in an inpatient setting is preferred but not required. This position will be a generalist (psychologist) mental health Clinician with interest, training and/or experience integrating mental health services into the primary care/specialty care setting. This position will be placed in primary care/specialty care practices, work with adults, families and children; and provide assessment, screening, and referral services. Additionally, brief individual therapy, prevention and educational services will be provided and include collaborative work with primary care physicians and their office staff, psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers. The psychologist will also work with primary care/specialty care team members to develop specific clinical pathways or best practice programs for targeted patient groups. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
•  Education: Licensed Psychologist at the Doctoral Level. License/Certifications: Licensed Psychologist at the Doctoral Level. Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Experience: Two years or more of work experience in a health or mental health setting preferred, in order to have proficiency in psychosocial assessment and treatment.
