Clinical Pharmacist

This position is intended for CRMC-Belmont but you will remain in your current position until confirmed by manager of an appropriate date to allow for adequate orientation/training. Job Summary: a wide variety of clinical and distributive duties to help meet the pharmaceutical needs of the organization and its patients. Provides medication-related information to physicians, staff, and community. as a liaison to all patient care areas with responsibility for outcomes including patient satisfaction and quality measures. Mentors and educates pharmacy staff, residents, and students in area(s) of practice. Coordinates delivery of pharmaceutical care within CaroMont Regional Medical Center Belmont by serving as the subject matter expert for order sets, patient care protocols, policy development / revision, and multidisciplinary rounds. Responds at patient bedside to selected medical emergencies throughout the facility to support pharmacotherapeutic selections and facilitate the prompt delivery of medication related patient care. Qualifications: degree in pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from a recognized college or university required; 2 years pharmacist experience or completion of an accredited PGY1 residency program preferred; 6 months clinical experience in the hospital setting preferred; current NC pharmacist license required; Board Certification preferred. Excellent teamwork, communication, and teaching skills. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies. Knowledge of quality measures. Considerable skill in performing pharmacy procedures; Considerable ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary team members; Maintains active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification.
