As a Veterinary Clinical Pathologist with IDEXX at our laboratory in North Grafton, MA, you will have the opportunity to provide top quality diagnostic services for our veterinary clients in North America, reading a mix of both glass and digital slides. You'll join a team of pathologists who are not only skilled and passionate about what they do, but who also value collaboration and sharing of ideas. In this role, you will be responsible for examination of clinical pathology specimens in order to provide clients with diagnostic evaluations, as well as any necessary follow-up consultation. A high-level of importance is placed on quality, timeliness, and customer service. This position may qualify for relocation assistance What you can expect: You will be responsible for providing interpretations for clinical pathology to veterinary practices and veterinarians, including the processing of cytological specimens. You will participate in consultations with veterinary clients regarding the interpretation of pathology reports and other laboratory data and responding to client inquiries. You will also be able to consult with and assisting other pathologists on cases for relevant expertise You will interact with and advise lab personnel in proper specimen handling/ and processing techniques You will promote the growth of IDEXX Veterinary Services by actively participating in quality control programs and the development of new tests You will maintain proficiency and development of clinical diagnostic skills, routing diagnostic responsibilities and professional activities. What do you need to succeed in this role? Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent required. Pathology Board Certified - American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) or ECVP preferred. Familiarity with current topics and issues in clinical veterinary medicine. Ability to type and use dictation equipment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. A service-oriented attitude. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Computer skills are required. Physical Demands: Extensive sitting and computer use Why IDEXX?
