Job Description:

Trusted Staffe is currently searching for a dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our partner, a prominent Level II Trauma Center located in Everett, WA. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will serve as an expert clinician in the medical/surgical/telemetry specialty area, utilizing your advanced knowledge and skills in teaching, mentoring, consulting, research, management, and systems improvement. Your role will be instrumental in influencing outcomes by providing expert consultation to all care providers and implementing enhancements in healthcare delivery systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide expert clinical consultation and guidance to healthcare professionals.
  2. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based practices.
  3. Serve as a mentor and educator for nursing staff, facilitating professional development and continuing education opportunities.
  4. Participate in research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance patient care outcomes.
  5. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and quality of care.
  6. Assume leadership responsibilities within the clinical setting, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
  7. Maintain current knowledge of best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry trends in the medical/surgical/telemetry specialty area.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the CCNE or NLNAC, or Ph.D. from an accredited program, or enrollment in a relevant program.
  2. Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  3. National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  4. Minimum of 3 years of registered nursing experience in the medical/surgical/telemetry specialty area.
  5. Equivalent coursework and experience may be considered, such as a Master's in nursing or a doctoral degree in Nursing Administration or Nursing Education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.
  2. Current certification in the medical/surgical/telemetry specialty area.
  3. 2 years of clinical leadership responsibility.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience:

  • Relevant experience in a clinical setting.

Certification and Licensure:

  • PA Registered Nurse License.
  • BLS Instructor Certification (within 12 months of hire).
  • ACLS Certification and instructor is responsible for specialty course program.
  • PALS Certification and Instructor if Responsible for Specialty Course Program.
