Job Description: Clinical Nurse Specialist - Critical Care
Trusted Staffe is currently spearheading a recruitment effort on behalf of our esteemed partner, a prominent regional Medical Center located in Anchorage, AK. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist with expertise in Critical Care to join their dynamic team. This position offers a competitive $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible external hires.
Responsibilities:

Clinical Expertise: Serve as a clinical expert and consultant within the Critical Care unit, providing advanced nursing care to patients with complex and critical conditions.

Collaborative Care: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate evidence-based care plans, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and quality of care.

Education and Training: Provide comprehensive education and training to nursing staff, healthcare professionals, and patients/families regarding critical care management, procedures, and protocols.

Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, research endeavors, and performance improvement projects to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.

Leadership and Advocacy: Demonstrate leadership skills in advocating for patients' rights, promoting a culture of safety, and fostering professional growth and development among nursing staff.

Resource Management: Effectively utilize healthcare resources, technologies, and best practices to optimize patient care delivery and ensure cost-effective healthcare services.
Qualifications:

Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), OR Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.

Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire.

National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.

Current certification as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), with preference given to candidates certified in the area of specialty upon hire.

Current certification in the area of specialty (e.g., CEN, CCRN) upon hire.

Minimum of 3 years of Registered Nursing experience in the area of Critical Care specialty.
