DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The General Educator is a Registered Professional Nurse responsible for developing, initiating, and coordinating for new employees. This position also serves as the Educator. QUALIFICATIONS Professional/Educational Registered Nurse with current Illinois License. Bachelor degree in nursing required. At least 3 years nursing experience in critical care settings, where have been seized to refine competencies in nursing practice as well as to principles and practice of teaching and supervision. Masters degree in nursing or similar healthcare field preferred. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required. Personal Maintains good physical and emotional well being. Three or more years assessing, designing, instructing, and evaluating educational programs for adult learners in a clinical setting Proficient writing and communication skills CPR, ACLS instructor certification recommended. EKG knowledge and interpretation skills, IV knowledge, and venipuncture skills. Is creative, imaginative and receptive to new methodology.
