Job Description and Duties Metropolitan State Hospital is located in the City of Norwalk, Los Angeles County. This advertisement will run until filled with the following cutoff dates for review of applications: 1st and 15th of every month. The Clinical Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill this position. Under the direction of the Clinical Laboratory Supervisor or designee, duties include, but are not limited to; performing AM phlebotomy for the clients at MSH, and performing laboratory testing utilizing various laboratory analyzers. Primary duties include monthly bench work rotation in the various laboratory departments including Hematology, Chemistry, Immunology, Urinalysis and Serology. Candidates must possess a current Certified "Clinical Laboratory Scientist" license with the State of California. Excellent phlebotomy skills, good attendance, punctuality and good computer skills are highly desired.Only the most competitive applicants will be considered. Minimum Qualifications: Possession of a Clinical Laboratory Technologist's license or a similar license of equal or higher level issued by the State Department of Health Services.
