Clinical Laboratory Technologist

Duties and Responsibilities of Clinical Laboratory Technologist :
Conduct a variety of laboratory tests including but not limited to hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
Stay current with advances in laboratory technology, methodologies, and industry trends through ongoing education and training.
Collect specimens from patients, ensure proper labeling, and accurately prepare samples for analysis.
Maintain quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results. Monitor and troubleshoot instrumentation as necessary.
Analyze test results, interpret findings, and accurately report results to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
Adhere to all regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards to maintain compliance with accrediting agencies.
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Manage inventory levels of supplies, reagents, and consumables to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Work closely with healthcare providers, physicians, nurses, and other laboratory staff to coordinate patient care and facilitate effective communication.

Qualifications/Requirements for Clinical Laboratory Technologist:
- 1 year of Clinical Laboratory Technologist experience.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting preferred.
- Valid license as a clinical laboratory technologist issued by NYSED
- BLS Certification is preferred.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $58.00 - $68.00 per hour
