Hours and Compensation Potential:

This is a full-time position on day shift. On-call duties will be rotated.

Compensation ranges from $24.50/hr to $33.50/hr, based on experience.

What We're Seeking:

An Associate's Degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or a related technical discipline contributing to proficiency in maintaining and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare setting.

A minimum of 2 years of experience as a BMET 1 or higher in a healthcare facility.

The ability to acquire fundamental LAN/WAN integration knowledge to collaborate with various groups and teams as required.

Responsibilities:

Under moderate supervision from the Department Manager/BMET Supervisor and senior technicians, examine, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic clinical equipment, devices, systems, and instruments.

Regularly interact with other clinical health providers to identify technology-related issues and develop solutions.

A BMET II possesses the proficiency to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide range of clinical inventory devices.

Participate in and conduct on-the-job training programs covering technical, administrative, and customer service requirements.

Work towards becoming a BMET III by demonstrating significant proficiency in handling sophisticated clinical devices and systems, mentoring junior technicians, and developing supervisory and administrative skills that lead to leadership positions.

Perform all tasks in strict accordance with the departmental Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP).

Regularly monitor "Corrective" and "Scheduled" Open Work Order reports to ensure timely and accurate completion of work requests.

Order necessary parts or vendor services to maintain equipment within manufacturer's specifications.

Schedule and oversee third-party activities as necessary.

Additional Information:

This position reports to the BioMed Manager and will be part of a 6-person team across multiple campuses.

Collaborate with a supportive team in a dynamic environment. This role serves as a lead/coordinator, working between vendors and imaging, and ensuring organizational efficiency.
