Seeking a talented Clinical Educator RN licensed required Rate starting at $34 per hour Schedule: 24 per week with rotation of off-shift to accommodate a 24-hour a day, 7-day a week operation. Our team of roughly 270 total employees serves a population of over 400 total residents on 62 acres that back up to the Occoquan reservoir. The Clinical Educator (CE) reports directly to the Director of Nursing. The CE develops, implements, and evaluates comprehensive education programs to meet federal and state regulations., new hire orientation, annual competency requirements, as well as professional development needs of Nursing leadership and staff, with specific focus on integration of Ingleside communities. Under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations the CE coordinates clinical education modules that facilitate in-house learning and career ladder opportunities. In this position the CE implements and tracks the clinical onboarding for all clinical job groups ensuring consistency of application. An essential deliverable of the CE is to structure the onboarding of new clinical staff ensuring their learning and development needs meet acceptable clinical standards of practice. The CE assesses the learning needs of clinical staff and validates completion of all annual clinical competency's. Serves as a role model inspiring, coaching, and mentoring clinical staff. In partnership with the Director of Talent Acquisition the CE is partners with LPN and CNA schools ensuring that clinical experiences for students are meaningful and creates the appropriate environment for future new hires. Essential Duties: Assists the clinical staff identifying the gaps between acquired and needed competencies. Establishes criteria for all in-service education programs, constructing the curriculum, course outlines, objectives, teaching methods, examinations, and evaluation tools for each program. Works with clinical staff to set goals that are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-sensitive with respect to competency acquisition. Provides effective and ongoing feedback regarding clinical progress. Effectively motivates participants to continue to acquire competencies at an increasing skill level. Plans, organizes and implements onboarding/orientation for newly hired, re-hires, interns, agency and students as required by regulations and WLR policy. Plans, organize and implements in-person education/training programs and validates completion of competency training through Relias. Assesses clinical learning needs; discusses the expected learning outcomes based on the identified core competencies. Identifies the potential learning opportunities/assignments available in the practice setting that will match the identified areas for growth and learning needs. Provides additional education/training through review of survey results, individual performance, community QAPI trends and input from community leaders. Provides ongoing constructive feedback (e.g., coaching, encouragement, support reinforcement). Keeps informed of new legislation and regulations that impact on standards of nursing practice and resident care. Performs all other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be a Registered Nurse and hold a current license to practice based on state regulations, and requirements. Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred. Must have, as a minimum three (3) years' experience as a Clinical Educator or Staff Development (SDC)preferably in a long-term care setting. Must have a positive attitude, ability to motivate others, using influence while affecting change. Must have critical listening skills, the ability to assess the skills of the RNs, LPNs, CNAs, etc., and provide 1:1 educational and/or supportive feedback in a respectful manner. Must be CPR certified (willingness to become CPR/First Aide instructor). Proficient ability to use a computer, electronic medical records and various software applications, including PCC.
