Position: Clinical Director - The Wilder School Summary: The Clinical Director (CD) oversees all aspects of the mental health programming and mental health staff at The Wilder School. The CD provides ongoing mental health training professional development to all staff. The Clinical Director of the Hartford School District and the Principal of The Wilder School jointly supervise and evaluate the CD. The CD focuses 80% of the work on the Alternative Program and 20% of the work on the Autism Program. Qualifications: Candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience and a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Clinical Mental Health Must hold a license in Vermont in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, or Clinical Mental Health Candidate must have experience supporting students in an educational and/or therapeutic setting Candidate must possess strong clinical skills in understanding developmental trauma and emotional disturbances Employment Terms: For the school year, this is a full-time position. Job Functions: Collaborates with and supports TWS principal in program planning, oversight and administration Clinically supervises Mental Health Clinician, Classroom Clinicians, and School Counselor Develops, organizes and leads a system for supporting the families of the students that attend The Wilder School. This includes working directly with the families of students as well as creating learning opportunities and experiences for parents as a whole. Works directly with students when the Mental Health Clinician's schedule is full. Consults with and supports staff during crises Supports the Mental Health Clinician to develop individual therapeutic treatment plans for students. Supports staff with the implementation of students' treatment plans Consults with education staff regarding therapeutic approaches in classrooms Trains staff in mental health crisis management Participates on the Individual Response Team Earns CPI certification Participates in Post-Critical incident processing meetings
