Clinical Analyst

Job Summary: to the Director of Informatics, providing support for a variety of clinical related projects in the Information Services department. Coordinates installation and ongoing maintenance of clinical and advanced clinical applications, including dictionary building/maintenance. Works collaboratively with the clinical departments and physicians to lead in analysis, design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of the clinical/advanced clinical modules to support patient care and fulfill end-user software requests. Coordinates education and updates for these applications. Provides troubleshooting capabilities to the hospital. Works closely with physicians to troubleshoot issues or secure needed resources to correct issues. Provides initial education for new physicians and ongoing training if needed. Working with various report writers, designs, writes and implements custom reports, rules, and programs. in coordinating Information Systems operation instructions for new procedures and assists with education of staff. Including procedural documentation, requirements gathering, and troubleshooting. Qualifications/Reporting: Required minimum education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Required minimum experience: Minimum of two years experience working in a clinical environment. Two years experience with current Healthcare Information System preferred. Required skills (if applicable): Capacity to successfully communicate technical information in understandable terms to all related personnel. Requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills and knowledge of current HIS to act as liaison between information systems and hospital leadership, staff physicians. implementation, training, end-user support and maintenance of clinical information systems. Required license/certification: RN or LVN licensed to practice in the State of Texas.
