Job Description:

Praxis Health is seeking an experienced Clinic Supervisor to lead our team of clinic staff. Your responsibilities will include effective supervision of all providers and office staff and ensuring prompt and courteous services to our patients. You will oversee daily operation of the clinic to include maintenance of performance standards, schedules, use of the medical billing system and management reporting. You will also be responsible for adherence to HIPAA policies.

What We Are Looking For:

Supervisory and healthcare experience are both required for this position; health care management experience would be ideal. We are seeking someone who is confident in their abilities with direct patient care and who will come up-to-speed quickly. A creative problem solver and an exceptional people leader of professional staff is essential. Must have a deep understanding of working directly with patients and providers in a clinic setting.

Essential Job Functions:

Supervision of clinical support staff.
Maintain performance standards of supervised employees including performance evaluations, discipline, training and development.
Ensure adequate staffing levels through timely and effective recruitment.
Lead by example through an expertise in daily operations.
Delegation and monitoring of all office responsibilities.
Effective and timely staffing, training, and evaluating employees.
Guides employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating office policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations to assure patient confidentiality.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications and appropriate e-mail updates.
Work with other supervisors and manager to facilitate cross-training and ensure inter-department communication and cohesion.
Reliable attendance and presence at work.
Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

High School graduate or equivalent.
C.N.A, C.M.A, EMT, LPN, or RN license is a plus.

Experience:

Experience in supervisory or management in a healthcare setting.
Creative problem-solving skills and positive ability to manage professional staff is a must.
Good computer and keyboard skills; accurate and detail oriented; pro-active planning; metric development; good organizational skills and communication skills; the ability to work with other department managers and supervisors; experience with management of staff; ability to manage work load and empower others.

General Physical Requirements:

Manual dexterity for office machine operation including computer and calculator; stooping, bending to handle files and supplies, mobility to complete errands for deliveries, or sitting for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires walking on non-level surfaces, inside and outside the office, throughout the day. Stress can be triggered by multiple staff demands and deadlines.

OSHA Category
This position performs tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids and/or tissues. All employees performing these duties are offered the opportunity to receive the Hepatitis-B vaccination series.
