Overview As our Clinic RN at CHI Oakes, you will help our patients by providing nursing care to our patients across the continuum under the direction of the physician or registered nurse. Every day you will work with our patients to evaluate their needs and provide physical or psychosocial care. To be successful in this role, you must have a genuine compassion for your patients' well-being and understand the role you play in helping our patients feel at ease. You also have the patience to explain the process, answer questions and update documentation. This position will support our Family Practice Clinic with three providers; one physician and two Advanced Practice Providers. Applicants must be willing to be flexible and jump in as needed. It is also important to display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to effectively educate patients and their families on the in-home healthcare process. Responsibilities Provides nursing care for assigned patients in accordance with physician's orders and established policies and procedures of the nursing department as well as professional standards of nursing, applicable Federal and State laws, state nurse practice guidelines, and regulatory agencies. Coordinates patient care with ancillary departments involved in either direct or indirect patient care. Communicates with physicians, co-workers, and other departments as appropriate. The registered nurse has the authority and responsibility to intervene in crises, initiate emergency measures, and direct the activities of other nursing personnel in accordance with North Dakota Board of Nursing regulations. Cares for patients ranging from neonatal to geriatric. Qualifications Current, unencumbered North Dakota or compact licensed Registered Nurse (RN). American Hearth Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ACLS certification or must be obtained within six (6) months of hire.
