POSITION SUMMARY This position is an essential member of the primary care clinical care team. This position will work collaboratively with clinic providers, clinical assistants, registered nurses, and other multidisciplinary team members internal and external to Riverwood Healthcare Center. Assumes responsibility for enhancing day-day clinic efficiency and assisting with direct patient care needs as assigned. Patient centered care shall be provided for patients of all ages. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and/or Experience High School diploma or equivalent. Previous clinic experience preferred. computer skills are necessary. Licenses/Certificates/Registrations: Current Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Minnesota or a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. ESSENTIAL DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in team huddles to ensure team and patient needs are met. Provides patient care through gathering patient data, medication administration and checking vital signs. Applies knowledge of age-related factors in accordance with professional standards and departmental policies and procedures. Supports the rooming process for patient care needs. Support documentation and orders under the direction of medical provider. Ensures clinic rooms are prepared, and clinic supplies are appropriately stocked. Support day-day clinic needs.
