We are currently hiring full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers to work with our Private Fleet Operations group. Driver will be responsible for picking up raw milk from farms and making deliveries to dairy intakes. Since these are regional deliveries, you will have a lot more home time than you'd find driving OTR routes. The majority of our drivers are home daily. Plus, we pay very competitive rates including mileage, hourly and stop pay. JOB DUTIES - Northwest Food Products will help the driver obtain a milk haulers license prior to starting on his/her route after training. - Drivers will be loading and maneuvering in and around farm machinery and backing up long drive-ways. - Drivers may have routes that require multiple stops prior to unloading at the intake. Other routes may simply be inter-plant in which the driver simply unloads the product and washes out by automatic process. - Hook and unhook trailers from the tractor itself. - Driver is responsible for keeping the exterior of the tank clean. - Proper handling and accurate completion of all necessary paperwork related to truck operations and product movements. - Inspect truck/trailer(s) for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips, and submit written report on the condition of the truck/trailers(s) at the end of each trip or tour of duty. - Check shipping papers to determine the nature of product being transported, destination or delivery location and/or any special unloading instructions. - Use on board truck computer to monitor DOT compliance and delivery and pickup information. - Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations, normally in periods of up to 11 hours of driving followed by an off-duty period of at least 10 consecutive hours. - Ensure all shipping documentation required to move with shipments is available for inspection and that appropriate paperwork accompanies shipment when delivered. - Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations including: driver's logs, records of fuel purchases, mileage records, and other documents required by law. This also includes the use of a truck computer for monitoring hours or service and delivery information. - Report all accidents involving driver, company equipment, and/or private property. Report all safety hazards. - Professional representation of the company and the trucking industry through practicing responsible, safe and defensive driving techniques. JOB REQUIREMENTS - Valid and current Class A CDL - Must be 23 years of age - Must pass DOT physical and drug screen - Must have Good Safety Record, clean MVR & Stable Work History - Experience driving in inclement weather and off-road operations - Ability to meet all DOT requirements COMPENSATION & BENEFITS - Competitive mileage rates of up to $0.4250 per single mile - $13.85 Per Hour Stop Pay - $1,100 - $1,300 average weekly pay range - Single and family health plans and voluntary benefits - "6" paid holidays, "2" personal holidays, and "1" week of vacation after "1" year of service - 401(k) company contribution of $30.00 per week - Driver referral bonuses - Plus more.
