We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Civil Litigation Attorney with a specialization in Insurance Defense and General Liability to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious self-starter, who is ready to handle challenging cases and make a significant impact. This role requires a professional with a deep understanding of civil litigation, insurance defense, general liability, legal writing, and insurance coverage. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting hearings, drafting pleadings and motions, conducting trials, handling mass torts, depositions, mediation, and product liability. This is a permanent position requiring at least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in civil litigation.
2. Conduct research, interview clients and witnesses, and handle other details in preparation for trial.
3. Prepare legal briefs, motions, and other pleadings in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
4. Interpret laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
5. Advise clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
6. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
7. Present and summarize cases to judges and juries.
8. Negotiate settlements of civil disputes, including insurance claims and general liability cases.
9. Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law.
10. Contribute to the firm's success by continuously improving client relations, profitability, productivity, and the collective expertise in insurance defense and general liability.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in civil litigation, insurance defense, and general liability.
4. Strong experience in hearings, pleadings, motions, trial, mass torts, depositions, mediation, and product liability.
5. Excellent legal writing and research skills.
6. Ability to interpret and apply laws, court decisions, and other legal authorities to individual cases.
7. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
8. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
10. Proven track record of client service and dedication to the legal profession.
