Job Details:

Our highly esteemed client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Associate to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Civil Litigation Associate, you will be tasked with managing all phases of civil litigation from inception to resolution. This involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, and representing clients in court, mediations, and depositions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation and an unwavering commitment to maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support case preparation and strategy development.
2. Draft, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests and responses, and settlement agreements.
3. Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and depositions.
4. Collaborate with senior attorneys in the preparation and presentation of cases.
5. Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress and addressing their concerns promptly and professionally.
6. Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients in an effort to resolve disputes without going to trial.
7. Stay abreast of current laws, rulings, and regulations that may impact clients and cases.
8. Contribute to the firm's business development efforts by cultivating relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
3. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a civil litigation associate.
4. Proficiency in legal research and writing.
5. Proven experience in litigation, mediation, and depositions.
6. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts and strategies to clients and team members.
7. Strong negotiation skills with a track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
8. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
9. A high level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
10. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
