Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking an experienced, skilled and knowledgeable Civil Engineer for immediate employment in the Conshohocken, PA office in a full-time role. The successful candidate will work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment in both in-person and virtual (telework) settings. This position provides unlimited career growth potential while collaborating with a team comprised of a variety of technical staff and project managers in support of AECOM's clients, including natural gas, electric utilities, solar and other renewables, and other focus areas.

This person will be part of AECOM's Environmental Planning and Permitting (EPP) team and use their civil engineering and design experience and critical thinking skills to collaborate with our team of civil engineers and technical staff to support our clients and AECOM's project teams. The ideal candidate will need to thrive in a challenging environment, be flexible on schedule to meet project deadlines, meet billable hours goals and have attention to detail, and provide a broad range of civil engineering skills and quality control (QA/QC) capabilities.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Be able to prepare and complete civil engineering and grading plans, calculations, and other design elements to support permit applications in Pennsylvania and other states in the mid-Atlantic area.

Work with the project Professional Engineer and other team members on civil design, drainage and stormwater management plans and design, supporting calculations, and permit applications.

Attend at client and/or agency meetings on behalf of AECOM.

Perform field work for stormwater management facilities installation inspections, erosion and sediment control, transportation, permit closeout, infiltration testing and other tasks related to the project.

Work with the EPP team on a variety of utility construction and environmental impact assessment projects.

Prepare and maintain internal and external project documentation, including quality control documentation.

Coordinate with internal teams such as cultural resources, ecologists, GIS staff, geologists, and other technical experts.
