Civil Engineer

CIVIL ENGINEER

Primary responsibilities will be working on civil engineering project teams to create permitting, construction, and certification plans for our varied client base. You will work from detailed sketches and verbal or written direction to produce or edit computer-generated to-scale engineering drawings, cross-sections, details, and figures. You'll also assist in management and processing of important data used to develop drawings, figures and reports. You will perform self-reviews of completed work to find and correct obvious errors before issuing the product for review by others. When the drawings or reports are ready you may aid in general office functions such as printing and folding drawings, deliveries and copying.

You'll also have an opportunity to gain field experience by:

Assisting survey crews on topographic and boundary surveys, construction stakeouts, and as-built certification;

Assisting with field sampling activities for groundwater, surface water, air and soil to monitor environmental compliance and/or assess conditions;

Performing field construction testing using specialized equipment for various materials, (i.e.; nuclear density gauge, penetrometer, and hand tools) to determine compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications:

Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Aided Drafting;

2-5 years' experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Revit.

Attention to detail;

Ability to speak and write professionally;

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;

Good analytical and problem solving skills

Salary:

$50K - $75K, depending on experience
