Details:

L.J. Gonzer Associates is looking for individuals to join our pool of qualified candidates for potential assignment as a Civil Engineer-Assistant Project Manager.
  • Monitor construction field work being performed by the contractor ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications, approved shop drawings, approved qualify procedures, and approved safety procedures.
  • Lead and oversee construction projects, including but not limited to: Approving contracts, shop drawings, and safety procedures.
  • Prepare and submit necessary field reports that documents daily activities that take place on site.
  • Utilize web-based programs such as ASITE, ProjectWise document management protocols to maintain all project submittals and correspondence.
  • Review and share correspondence with the appropriate stakeholders including but not limited to designers, sponsor groups, and operating departments.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets.
  • Perform site inspections.

Job Requirements

Details:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, business administration, or a related field.
  • Two years of experience performing project management tasks with specific focus on civil/structural engineering projects.
  • OSHA-30 Certification must be obtained prior to starting the position.
  • 8-hour Lead Awareness Course must be completed prior to starting the position.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Computer applications related to design and construction management, such as MicroStation and Computer Aided Design Drafting (CADD), Microsoft Office 365, ASITE, ProjectWise.
  • Demonstrated familiarity of Civil/Structural Engineering standards/codes and practices.
  • Familiarity with rail/transit operations and practices, and mass transit facilities, preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
