Job Details:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Civil Bridge Designer to join our team. This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic individual to contribute to our innovative and growing organization. The successful candidate will be involved in various stages of bridge design projects, from conceptual design to final design and construction. You will work closely with our team of engineers and designers to create efficient and sustainable bridge designs that meet our clients' needs and comply with all relevant regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and detail highway bridge components and structures, ensuring compliance with NYSDOT, AASHTO, and other applicable standards and regulations.
• Use software such as MicroStation, STADD, CSiBridge, MDS, and other industry-standard software for modeling, analysis, and design.
• Perform structural analysis and calculations for bridge design projects, including load rating analysis and foundation design.
• Prepare and review design drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams, including coordinating with roadway, drainage, geotechnical, and construction teams.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
• Participate in project meetings, presenting design concepts and progress to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest quality of work.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and techniques in bridge design and civil engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in bridge design and civil engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Proficiency in MicroStation, STADD, CSiBridge, MDS, and other relevant software.
• Extensive knowledge of NYSDOT, AASHTO, and other applicable design standards and regulations.
• Experience in roadway design is an advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving, design, and planning skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• High attention to detail and a strong focus on quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• A passion for civil engineering and bridge design.
